Day’s programme
You will visit the outdoor areas, the concrete batching plant, the sludge dewatering plant, the excavation material processing and the tunnel through the north portal. You will go by foot from the facilities at the north portal to the inside of the tunnel. The tunnel is being excavated in loose rock. As an auxiliary construction measure, jet grouting umbrellas have been formed up to stage 41, which have been replaced by pipe umbrellas from stage 42 due to local conditions.
